Damaging Winds, Hailstorms Aim for Oklahoma, Texas
There is a risk of locally severe thunderstorms from part of west-central Texas to west-central Oklahoma into Wednesday night.
Cities in the risk area include San Angelo and Wichita Falls, Texas and Oklahoma City, Okla.
The main threat with these storms will be damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph in addition to the possibility of hail.
As a cold front that is creating a snowstorm in the northern Plains and Rockies dips farther southward, the humid air from the Gulf of Mexico and the dry desert air from the Southwest will all combine over the area.
